Annie’s Homegrown was ready to hit mainstream grocery stores with a wider array of products—but needed to preserve its offbeat, socially conscious image. They looked to DDW to nail the transition.

At the core of their brand story were three key elements: integrity, transparency, and Bernie. (Annie’s childhood bunny.) So we created a built-in brand metaphor on every box—a die-cut ‘magic window’ revealing its wholesome contents.

We then made sure every syllable of copy conveyed the brand’s honest, yet quirky personality. Today, Annie’s Homegrown is the beloved brand standard in ‘better for you’ foods.

Annie’s salad dressings were the brand’s first foray beyond kid’s snacks and family menu staples. We were able to bring out Annie’s goodness with colorful and nature-inspired illustrations like the one seen here in the iconic “Green Goddess” of their Green Goddess Dressing.
