Upcycling Hockey sticks.

National Hockey League teams go through a thousand hockey sticks per year. (gasp!) And it turns out their carbon fiber doesn’t degrade. This is bad news for landfills.

Some savvy do-gooders in LA wanted to address this problem with up-cycling; by turning 1,000s of used hockey sticks into sleek new BBQ tools (that will last forever).

They put DDW to the task of making them irresistible to mindful Millennials.

Our team came up with the Requip’d name, putting their mission front and center, while also avoiding hockey names, so the brand has room to expand into other sports.

The new brandmark does include a subtle nod to hockey, while the bold, graphic package design is worthy of the cause.

Today Requip’d can barely keep up with demand.
