The SUPERVALU ice cream portfolio was fragmented and underperforming. They tasked DDW with rebranding Stone Ridge Creamery as the premium ice cream brand across all SUPERVALU banners.

We created a new brand story that captured the American nostalgia of ice cream parlors and simpler times. Then we translated it all into a clean, modern, yet retro identity that worked across every category.

DDW’s rebranding of Stone Ridge Creamery led to a 31 percent lift in sales—based on packaging alone—and an impressive 79 percent increase in purchase intent compared to the Acme banner label.

The original Stone Ridge Ice Cream packaging needed an overhaul, where DDW would bring the brand to life with a nostalgic, yet modern logo. Our new look brought a lightness to the brand and made it easy to shop across the entire line of ice creams.
